What do you do when somebody offers you a better life? And you don't seem to have to sign away your soul in return, just break a few little laws so that you feel untouchable.

She offers you big dreams, some of which come true, and you think you can do without her. You can balance a happy family with a new lover and a campaign to terrorise her husband out of the way. It's effortless.

Then it becomes dangerous. Your guardian angel won't let go, some of your games aren't so easy any more, and your readers can't get through to you that it might all be in the mind.

The first draft of Impunity is complete - about 60,000 words - with notes to flesh out the beginning so that it points to the end in every detail.
